Voetbalprimeur.
The problem
Where to look for an exclusive car?
Yet there is no such thing as having an app that will make it easy for the user to successfully find an exclusive car for out of all existing rental companies. There are plenty of companies worldwide that offer cars for rent, since there are many expensive cars the fleets can vary from different car types and price ranges. But what if the user don’t know where to look? Maybe the user wants to rent a car in a country or region that he/she is visiting, as a stranger it can be a craft to find a company left alone a company that has a suitable or desired car.
In this case I wonder if I can make it easier for the user to find a car rental company that matches all the wants and needs, no matter where in the world the user is.

Voetbalprimeur.
For my thesis I had the honour to work for VoetbalPrimeur.nl, with an average of 4,3 million unique visitors per month this is one of the biggest football news websites in the Netherlands. I sat down with the client and discuss the problem they have as a company. From this point my 20 week adventure started, this was the holy grail and the whole study comes together here.

As mentioned in the introduction I sat down with the client to discuss what problems they have as a company. With this information we came up with the following design challenge which is holy, the entire project is build on this.
"How can a digital solution ensure that soccer fans aged 24+ are encouraged to play soccer and contribute to the VoetbalPrimeur's community?"
Important during the process:
Everything comes together here, think about the right way of working on a project
Justify every choice made by refer to research
Try multiple concepts
Keep testing and iterating
The first step is to conduct research, I studied the website of VoetbalPrimeur and other competing soccer news websites. By doing this I got insights that I used for further research, I used insights to structure questions during interviews with my target audience. I was constantly busy gathering insights so that I could map out the wishes and needs of the target audience. Throughout the project I used various methods to gain insights such interviews, SWOT, Benchmark creations, persona's and so one. By using these methods I hoped to get answers for all my questions and also have a good idea what the needs of the target audience are.
LoFi construction
I came up with two concepts which I presented to VoetbalPrimeur, in the end after a short brainstorm session we had together a new concept was born. In fact it's features from both first and second concept combined. I then went straight to work by putting together a wireflow and a LoFi design, which I always do so that I have a good idea of which pages I need and how they are connect to each other. From a LoFi prototype I went to MedFi and finally to HiFi prototype, each time going over the progress with the VoetbalPrimeur, coach and target audience. This means that I had multiple versions of the prototype and continuously test it with my client and audience so I can improve it.
MedFi construction
In the final phase I started testing the HiFi prototype with the target audience, I did this by setting up a test plan in which I had a few tasks for the participants. By completing the tasks the user would go through the biggest flows, in other words they will see most pages within the app. As a result of letting the target audience test the prototype I got feedback, I used the feedback to make iterations and test the newer version. The end result was that both target audience and Voetbalprimeur were very enthusiastic, same goes for coaches at school who thought it was a very successful app. One of the coaches mentioned in all excitement that she wanted to try and play herself.
Result.
An app designed for people who love the beautiful game of football. The competitive quiz and challenge will put the knowledge and technique of the user to the test, in addition to encouraging them to engage with the ball and thus get moving. There is also possibility to create your own competition so the user can play with friends, family or colleagues.
